MIAMI, FL (11 de mayo, 2009) – El cantante panameño MAKANO es NUMERO UNO en la cartelera Billboard Latin Chart con su nuevo éxito “Te Amo”, canción que dominó la radio de todo Latinoamérica y que ahora posiciona de la cumbre de las listas de audiencia en Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico. Con esto logro, Makano se consolida como el artista panameño urbano mas importante del pais.
El tema logró colocarse en una de las canciones con mayores descargas digitales consiguiendo situar a Makano como el artista nuevo NUMERO UNO en ventas – móviles y digitales – dentro de su sello Machete Music. Asimismo, el video de “Te Amo” es uno de los más vistos en los canales de videos de Estados Unidos, además de haber alcanzado millones de visitas en línea a través del popular sitio Youtube.

MIAMI, FL (May 11, 2009) – The popular Panamanian singer MAKANO is NUMBER ONE on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs Chart with his international smash hit “Te Amo”. The song has dominated radio airplay throughout Latin America and now sits atop the radio charts in the United States and Puerto Rico. With this accomplishment, Makano solidifies his place as the most important Panamanian urban artist to hit the US.
The song has also become one of the most downloaded digital tracks and mobile ringtones in the US making Makano the most successful new artist at Machete Music in terms of digital and mobile sales. The music video for “Te Amo” has also become an online sensation with millions of views on the popular online portal Youtube, while it has also become one of most requested clips at video channels throughout the country.
The international success of the mega-hit “Te Amo” has led to collaborations with other Latin music stars. Puerto Rican duo, RKM & Ken-Y collaborated with Makano on the reggaeton remix of the track while the popular German Montero appears on the regional Mexican version of the hit single. Both versions have contributed to the chart-topping radio success of the single.
Makano spent last week in New York as part of his promotional efforts for his album “Te Amo” participating at key media activities including radio visits and press interviews.
